The Redlands women's outdoor track & field team was voted to finish first in the 2019 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Preseason Poll as voted on by member head coaches.
Redlands notched four first place votes and four second place votes to highlight 75 points in the preseason poll and place just three points ahead of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS) which finished with 72 points on the strength of five first place votes and three third place mentions. The Bulldogs finished the 2018 season with 28 points behind seven dual meet points and 21 points at the SCIAC Championships. After securing a perfect dual meet score (8), the Athenas claimed the 2018 SCIAC title after posting 24 points at the championships to post a combined score of 32 points.
Receiving 64 points in the preseason vote, Occidental was tabbed to finish third after the Tigers finished in that position a year ago. Occidental earned six dual meet points and 18 points at the championship to secured 24 total. Pomona-Pitzer was voted to finish in fourth place in 2019 with 56 points after logging a sixth place finish in the standings in 2018.
La Verne finished in fifth place in the voting heading into the 2019 outdoor season after collecting 44 points. The Leopards notched 19 points with four coming from dual meets, while 15 came at the 2018 conference championships. California Lutheran (36 points) was picked to finish sixth in 2019 after earning that spot a year ago with 14 points (5 dual, 9 championship).
Whittier placed seventh a year ago with nine combined points behind six points at the championships and three points at dual meets, while Caltech was eighth in the standings with four points. Chapman rounded out the standings in ninth. The 2019 preseason vote saw the Poets collect 29 points, while the Beavers edged the Panthers, 15-14 to finish eighth and ninth respectively.
