Offensive Athlete of the Week

Name: Bria VarnBuhler
School: Pomona-Pitzer
Year: Senior
Position: Midfielder
Hometown: Santa Rosa, Calif.

Bria VarnBuhler helped Pomona-Pitzer to a pair of shutout victories including a 1-0 win over Chicago, and a 3-0 win over Illinois Tech. Against Chicago, VarnBuhler netted what proved to be the game-winning goal, and then added an insurance goal in the Sagehens' 3-0 victory over Illinois Tech. The senior from Santa Rosa, Calif. had four shots on goal against Chicago, and finished with 10 total shots during the two-game stretch.

Position: Goalkeeper
Hometown: San Clemente, Calif.

Chapman's second-year net-minder Kelsey Bland helped the Panthers to a pair of shutout wins - a 1-0 victory over MIT, and a 1-0 win over Willamette. Bland totaled 11 saves over the two games, picking up a pair of clean sheets in the process. Bland played 170:03 between the posts for Chapman this week, helping lift the Panthers to a 4-0-0 record.
