SCIAC Women's Soccer Postseason Tournament Recap

SCIAC Postseason Tournament Semifinal: No. 1 Pomona-Pitzer 4, No. 4 Redlands 0
Pomona-Pitzer used two goals from Peri Cuppens and one each from Helena Robinowitz and Lily Gane to secure a 4-0 win over Redlands. The Sagehens will now host the SCIAC Postseason Tournament final Saturday, November 3 for the second time in as many years.

After playing to two 0-0 (2OT) draws during the regular season, Occidental broke through in the 13th minute through Dylan Wensley to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead. In the 64th minute, Elleni Bekele extended the lead to 2-0 on a free kick outside the 18-yard box. Cal Lutheran netted a late penalty kick through Alexandra Fagerberg to make it 2-1, but could get no closer. Occidental advances to the SCIAC Postseason Tournament final for the first time since 2010. 

Up Next: The Sagehens and Tigers will square off in the SCIAC Postseason Tournament final on Saturday, November 3 at 12 p.m. on the campus of Pomona-Pitzer in Claremont, Calif. The Sagehens and Tigers met once during the 2018 regular season with Occidental claiming a 1-0 win on October 3.
