Kendall Holliman and Maia Presti from Claremont-Mudd-Scripps led all SCIAC divers at the Region 2 NCAA Division III Diving Regionals at Grinnell College over the weekend, both advancing to the NCAA Championships.
Hollimon won both the men’s 1M and 3M Championships. His highest score was a 520.70 on the 3M beating out Chaz Brouillette of Birmingham Southern (467.30).
On the 1M, he scored a 478.50, edging out Trevor Burke from Emory (468.15).
Andrew Tompkins (La Verne) placed fourth in both events and Jacob Miner from Redlands finished fifth, respectively.
Presti finished second on the women’s 1M with a score of 464.80 behind Sarah Hayhurst of Centre College (525.05).
Kellyn Toole from Chapman placed seventh overall on the 1M (398.10) while Ellen Wang (Pomona-Pitzer) and Carli Lessard also earned top-10 finishes.
Lessard was the top SCIAC finisher on the women’s 3M earning an alternating spot at the NCAA Championships with a score of 404.50. Toole finished eighth with a 387.20.
Hollimon, Presti and Lessard will represent their school and the conference at the National Championships, March 15-18 at the CISD Natatorium in Shenandoah, Texas.
