Indian Wells, CA - A location changed moved the men's tennis championship to the Indian Wells Tennis Garden due to rain. The semifinal matches began at Pomona-Pitzer with just a few games played in the doubles before rain halted the matches which eventually started back up in the desert. CMS defeated Cal Lutheran 5-0 while Redlands defeated Pomona-Pitzer 5-3.
In a championship match that featured verocious winds Redlands jumped out to an early 3-0 lead after doubles. Joey Dulle and Jake Ly defeated Daniel Morkovine and Nikolai Parodi 8-6 at the top spot. Brad Cummins and Chase Lipscomb notched a 8-3 win over Glenn Hull and Jake Berber. Parker Wilson and Tom Suchodolski won at No. 3 doubles 8-3 over Julian Gordy and Alex Brenner.
As the Stags have done all season they took control in singles as Hull defeated Wilson 6-0, 6-3 to give CMS its first point. Daniel Park defeated Bryant Johnson at six singles 7-5, 6-0 while Max Macey defeated Ly at No. 4 singles 6-4, 6-2 to even the team score at 3-3. Morkovine would defeated Dulle 6-4, 6-3 to give the Stags a 4-3 lead. Lipscomb and Parodi had split sets but Parodi pulled out the third set 6-2 to give the Stags the 5-3.
With the win the No. 3 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men's tennis team (28-3, 10-0) claimed their 12th consecutive outright SCIAC title.
