NCAA Men's Golf Championship - Day 2 Recap

After 36 holes of competition, the top 18 teams advance in the 2019 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship at Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville, Ky. Round three begins Thursday, May 16. 

Leading the field after the cut is Illinois Wesleyan (287-291-578), while Guilford (296-286-582) and Wittenberg (295-292-587) are second and third respectively. No. 12 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS) (299-302-601) and No. 9 Redlands (306-312-618) represent the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) in 10th and 16th place respectively, while No. 11 La Verne (313-320-633) missed the cut and finished in 28th. 

Mason Chiu of CMS carded a 74 on day two and has now posted a 144 over two rounds of play and is in ninth place on the individual leaderboard. Leading Redlands after 36 holes is Jake Hollander who carded a round of 78 for a 153 overall. Pitiluk Phanomchai of La Verne picked up four shots from yesterday's round as he finished tied with Hisham Hussein for the team lead of 154 over the first two rounds of play.
