After 18 holes of competition, day one of the 2019 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championships is in the books at the Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville, Ky. Round two is set for Wednesday, May 15. 

Illinois Wesleyan leads the 42-team field with a score of 287 following Tuesday's play, while Concordia (Texas) is second at 288. Trinity (Conn.) is third with a score of 290 rounding out the top three teams. Representing the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC), Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS) is in a tie for eighth place overall at 299, followed by Redlands in 15th at 306. La Verne is sitting in 23rd with a first round score of 313. 

Mason Chiu of CMS tied for second overall on day one with a two-under-par 70, while Hisham Hussein of La Verne tied for 13th overall with a day one round of 72 to give the SCIAC two players in the top 20. Cade Lawson and Jake Hollander of Redlands are tied for 41st overall with Ken Kong of the Stags with first round tallies of 75 each.
