With fall seasons winding down, the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) has several teams who have advanced to the NCAA Division III Postseason.
Men's and Women's Cross Country
Pomona-Pitzer will host the 2019 NCAA Division III West Regional Cross Country meet on Saturday, November 16 on its home campus course. Both races start and finish at the Strehle Track and Field complex on Pomona College's campus. The meet will serve as a qualifying competition to the NCAA Division III National Championships to be held a week later on November 23, 2019 at Tom Sawyer Park in Louisville, Ky.
Men's 8-kilometer race: 9 a.m. (PDT) | Women's 6-kilometer race: 10 a.m. (PDT)
In men's soccer, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS) earned the SCIAC's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship following its 2-0 victory over Redlands in the 2019 SCIAC Postseason Tournament championship match. The Stags, who were the top seed in the league tournament, earned their first tournament title since 2012, and enter the 2019 NCAA playoffs with an overall record of 14-3-2.
CMS will travel to Trinity (Texas) where it will take on Texas Lutheran (15-5-0) at 11 a.m. in San Antonio, Texas on Saturday, November 16 in first round action. The winner will then take on the winner of host Trinity (11-6-2) and Texas-Dallas (17-3-2) at 1 p.m. on Sunday, November 17 in the second round.
Three teams will participate in the NCAA Championship from the SCIAC in 2019 including Pomona-Pitzer, California Lutheran, and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS).
Pomona-Pitzer earned the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA postseason following its 3-0 victory over Cal Lutheran in the SCIAC Postseason Tournament final, and first tournament title since 2015. The Sagehens (17-1-1) will take on St. Scholastica (14-7-0) in a first round contest on Saturday, November 16 at 12 p.m. PDT. The winner of that match will take on the winner of regional host Wartburg (14-2-3) and Concordia (Wis.) (17-4-0) on Sunday, November 17 at 2 p.m. PDT in the second round.
The Regals earned an at-large berth to the NCAA Championship and hosting rights through the first two rounds of play. Cal Lutheran (12-3-3) will host UC Santa Cruz (13-3-2) on Saturday, November 16 at 5 p.m. PDT.
The Athenas will also make their way to Thousand Oaks following an at-large selection to the NCAA postseason. CMS (10-4-3) will take on Emory (13-4-0) at 7:30 p.m. PDT on Saturday, November 16 on the campus of Cal Lutheran in first round action.

The winners of the first round tilts will then compete in the second round on Sunday, November 17 at 7 p.m. PDT.
The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS) women's volleyball team captured its third straight SCIAC Postseason Tournament crown with a 3-0 win over Chapman to earn the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Championship. The Athenas (26-3) will travel to Chicago, Ill. and will take on Washington University (Mo.) at 10:30 a.m. PDT on Friday, November 15 in a first round matchup.
The other teams in the Chicago Regional include the host Maroons (26-3), Westminster (Mo.) (19-8), Otterbein (25-6), Wisconsin-Whitewater (22-9), Carthage (27-3) and Grinnell (26-4). If CMS advances, second round action will take place Saturday, November 16 at 12:30 p.m. PDT against the winner of Cathage and Grinnell. The regional final with then take place at 12 p.m. PDT on Sunday, November 17.
