SCIAC Women's Lacrosse Teams Garner IWLCA Honors

Four teams from the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) along with 16 student-athletes from the conference garnered end of the year academic awards as recently announced by IWLCA.

To secure the academic honor squad recognition, teams must achieve a 3.0 GPA for the academic year. SCIAC teams earning the distinction in 2019 were Chapman, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS), Occidental and Pomona-Pitzer. Additionally, all four of those schools, as well as Whittier had student-athletes notch academic honor roll status. The Panthers led the way with five selections, while the Sagehens followed with four players receiving the award.

To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.
