WHITTIER, Calif. – Kristin Yep was recently named the head coach for the Whittier College women's tennis team announced by Executive Director of Athletics Robert Coleman.
"We are excited to announce the hiring of Kristin Yep as the leader of our women's tennis program," Coleman explained. "Kristin's commitment to the student-athlete experience coupled with her knowledge of collegiate tennis will ensure the continued development of our program."
Kristin is a graduate of Concordia University, Irvine (2012) where she majored in Exercise Sport Science with an emphasis on Rehabilitation. There she played four years on the Eagles Tennis team where she achieved All-American recognition in singles and doubles.
Upon graduation she became a private tennis instructor, while serving as the Whittier College men's tennis assistant coach and physical therapy aide.
During her junior competition she traveled around the world as a touring player on the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Women's Circuit for eight years reaching a World Ranking of 800 on the ITF Junior Circuit.
She is also a certified instructor by the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA).
