|Football Athlete of the Week|
Senior • Quarterback • Westlake Village, California
Friederichsen was superb in the Kingsmen’s 28-13 victory over Willamette. The senior quarterback was 23-for-30 through the air with four touchdown passes. The Westlake Village, Calif. native was an impressive 14-for-15 in the first half, and his longest completion of the game was a 54-yard toss to Aaron Lacombe. Friederichsen finished with a completion percentage and averaged 9.5 yards per pass as Cal Lutheran improved to 2-0 on the season.

Senior • Goalkeeper • Anaheim Hills, California
Augustine was terrific between the pipes for Chapman during its 2-0 week which featured SCIAC wins over La Verne (1-0) and CMS (1-0). Augustine played all 180 minutes in goal, turning away a total of seven shots on goal, including five from the Stags en route to posting a pair of clean sheets. His back-to-back shutouts gave the Panthers their first two victories of the season.

Sophomore • Forward • Gig Harbor, Washington
Aronson guided Chapman to a 1-1 week which featured a thrilling, 3-2 double overtime win over No. 16 Pomona-Pitzer, and a 3-1 setback to Cal Lutheran. Aronson netted the game-winner at the 101:44 mark with a one-time shot following a long through ball from Jordyn Bradbury to give the Panthers the victory. Aronson also assisted on Chapman’s first goal of the game which came in the 20th minute of action in response to the Sagehens’ first tally of the game which came just over a minute prior.

Junior • Outside Hitter • Atlanta, Georgia
Johnson paced Chapman to a 2-0 week in SCIAC play which featured a 3-0 sweep of Whittier, and a 3-2 win over No. 17 Cal Lutheran. Johnson floored 25 kills on 67 swings with just just six mishits to post a stellar .284 hitting percentage. She averaged 3.13 kills per set, including 3.40 kills per frame in the Panthers’ impressive five-set victory over the Regals which resulted in 17 kills. She also collected 31 total digs including 17 against Cal Lutheran for a 3.88 digs per set average. The junior outside hitter also registered five service aces, two assists, and a solo block during the week.

Senior • Attack • Honolulu, Hawai'i
Deer led CMS to a 2-0 week totaling seven goals and a pair of steals as the Stags improved to 3-5 overall and 1-0 in SCIAC action. In a 14-6 victory over conference foe Caltech,Deer netted a hat-trick and secured both of his steals for the week, before notching four scores in a 18-9 victory over Riverside CC.
