Tiger Named AVCA All-American
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Nov. 16th, 2010) – With the final round of individual awards being handed out, Occidental has one more accomplishment to add to the 2010 season, as sophomore captain Logan Boyer-Hayse was named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association All American team this afternoon.
This afternoon the AVCA released its All American team, and for this first time in her career Boyer-Hayse was named to the squad, being selected to the third team.
She was already named All West Region and 1st Team All SCIAC as well this season.
Boyer-Hayse led the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in kills per set and points scored. She currently is ranked number five in the country in kills per set and number eight in the country in points scored, she has been among the top ten in the nation all season in both categories.
The sophomore was one of only four players from the state of California to be named to the squad.
