SCIAC Honors Female Athlete of the Week: Redlands' Natalie Calderon

Senior Natalie Calderon (Pasadena, CA) wrapped up an already-impressive conference career by winning five individual events and one relay while taking second in another relay en route to helping the Bulldog women win the 2008 SCIAC Championship.  Overall, she contributed 68 points to the Bulldogs' total of 131.  She posted NCAA Provisional Qualifying marks in the Long Jump at 18'7" and the Triple Jump at 38' 4 ½", winning both events.  She also took first in the 100m Dash at 12.26 and the 200m Dash at 25.61 before improving upon her Redlands top-10 time in the 100m Hurdles at 15.13 to win the event.  She ran the anchor on the first-place 4x400m Relay that crossed the finish line in 4:00.14.  Finally, Calderon also ran the anchor leg on the 4x100m Relay, which took second place with a time of 50.24.
