SCIAC Honors Female Athlete of the Week: California Lutheran's Christa Ratcliff

Congratulations to California Lutheran's Christa Ratcliff for being named the SCIAC Female Athlete of the Week!

At the 2007 Nike Cup this past weekend, the senior out of Lancaster swam well under the NCAA "B" Cut qualifying standard in the 400-yard individual medley, finishing in 4:34.94 (over four seconds under). She was just a couple of seconds from the "B" cut in the 500-yard free (5:11.79). Her individual top finish came in the 1650 free coming in 28th place (18:17.12). Ratcliff is coming of an impressive '06-'07 season in which she was one of two CLU swimmers to earn an NCAA appearance for the first time in school history.
