La Verne Volleyball Remains Undefeated, No. 3 in National Rankings
October 10, 2006

The University of La Verne heads to the Illinois Wesleyan volleyball tournament this weekend still undefeated and still in the No. 3 spot in the national rankings.

Last week, in a big SCIAC match, ULV, now 18-0, 8-0 SCIAC, took the measure of Cal Lutheran, 3-1, to become the only team without a loss within the league. Since that match, the Leopards have rung up two more wins -- edging Redlands, 3-2 on Friday, then sweeping Occidental Tuesday.
