Turner won three individual events for the Leopards at the SCIAC
Quad meet in Los Angeles (March 3), highlighted by his 50 foot, 9
½ inch effort (15.48 meters) in the triple jump. That
distance ranks No. 2 all-time in SCIAC history and No. 13 all-time
in Division III in addition to establishing a new school record.
The reigning NCAA Division III Champion in the long jump, Turner
also leaped 23-0 ¾ to win that event on Saturday while also
running a personal best of 10.92 in the 100 meters to claim first
place for a third individual win. He also added a fourth event
victory, running a leg on the Leopards’ winning 4 x 100 meter
relay.
