SCIAC Honors Male Athlete of the Week:  Occidental's Alex Ramon

Congratulations to Occidental College's Alex Ramon for being named the SCIAC Male Athlete of the Week!      

OXY:  Alex Ramon, Track & Field
Alex Ramon ran a lifetime best 9:01.23, a new school record, in the 3000m steeplechase Saturday, May 12 at the Occidental Invitational on Bill Henry Track and Patterson Field.  Ramon's time eclipsed the old mark set by John Sisler in 1976 by almost two seconds and is the fastest time in Division III this year.  It's also the first school record broken in a running event since 1985.
