SCIAC Honors Athletes of Week: Pomona-Pitzer's Leer, CMS' Muhich

The SCIAC Athletes of the Week have been named and the honorees are: Pomona-Pitzer's Will Leer (men's track and field) and CMS' Jackie Muhich (women's track and field).

Pomona-Pitzer: Will Leer (Men's Track and Field)
Leer ran a 3:47.85 in the 1500 meters on Saturday at the Pomona-Pitzer Invite. The time places him at 2nd in the nation, and the fifth best time in SCIAC D-III history.

CMS: Jackie Muhich (Women's Track and Field)
The senior from Encinitas set the CMS school record in the 400 hurdles with a time of 62.47. The record was set at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational during a driving rainstorm. The time currently leads the nation and is the second best in SCIAC history. She has improved her personal best in the event 1.58 seconds in the last two weeks. She leads the SCIAC by over 4.5 seconds. She also leads the SCIAC in the 400 with a time of 58.86.
