SCIAC Honors Male Athlete of the Week:  CMS' William Ellison

Congratulations to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps' William Ellison for being named the SCIAC Male Athlete of the Week!

The senior from Shaker Heights, OH went 4-0 in singles and doubles to help lead the Stags to wins over two nationally-ranked opponents.  In the team's 7-2 win over #7 Trinity University, Ellison partnered with Evan Feldhausen at #2 doubles to win 8-6 and then won at #2 singles 6-4, 6-1.  In the team's 8-1 win over #6 Williams College, he and Feldhausen again won 8-6 and then he won 6-2, 7-6 (5).  All four of his opponents are regionally ranked.  The #4 Stags have now played eight of the other nine top 10 teams and are 7-1 in those matches.  CMS is 17-3 overall.
