Redlands' senior midfielder Casey ChubbFertal was recently named Second Team United States Coaches Association (USCA) All-American as announced by the organization.
ChubbFertal, who was named First Team All-West Region by the USCA just last week, earned his first All-American accolade. The 2017 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Athlete of the Year, was the league's lone All-American representative in both men's and women's soccer.
In addition to his Athlete of the Year award, ChubbFertal bolstered his résumé with a third all-conference nod with a first team selection in 2017. A standout in the classroom, ChubbFertal has also been named to the SCIAC All-Academic Team and an NSCAA Scholar All-American during his illustrious career.
During the most recent campaign, he ranked second on the Redlands squad with eight goals and four assists for a team-leading 20 points. He supplied three game-winners - all of which came during SCIAC competition - to help propel the Bulldogs to an undefeated, 12-0-2 campaign, the number one seed in the SCIAC Championship Tournament, and an appearance in the tournament title game.
