Nine men's soccer student-athletes from the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) were named United States Soccer Coaches Association (USCA) All-West Region honorees as recently announced by the organization.
Redlands led the SCIAC with four selections including midfielder Casey ChubbFertal who was the only conference player to be named First Team All-West Region. In addition, defender Ben Thompson and forward Chase Boone were named Second Team All-West Region, while goalkeeper Josh Haskill earned third team recognition for the Bulldogs.
Cal Lutheran had three players garner third team honors, including defenders Daniel Aguilar and Cristian Yepez and forward Brandon Kearney. Representing Occidental is defender Gabriel Barrett-Jackson, while Chapman midfielder Elliott Braund also received all-region praise.

ChubbFertal has now collected three all-region accolades thanks to a senior campaign that saw him net eight goals including three game-winners.
Cal Lutheran defeated the Bulldogs, 2-1 (2OT) in the SCIAC Tournament title game to win the league's automatic qualifier to the NCAA Division III Championship. The Kingsmen fell to Loras, 4-2 in the first round of the national postseason tournament.
