SCIAC Male Athlete of the Week

Congratulations to Cal Lutheran's Andrew Meier for being named the SCIAC Male Athlete of the Week!

Andrew Meier, a freshman from Parker, CO, averaged 22.0 points per game this week and led all players in each game as the Kingsmen defeated the Bulldogs of Redlands and the Leopards of La Verne. Meier scored a game, season and career high 29 points against Redlands as he shot 10-for-19 from the field and was 9-for-11 from the free throw line. He also grabbed a game high 11 rebounds, recording his fifth double-double of the season. On Saturday Meier scored 15 points, going 5-5 from the charity stripe, and grabbed six rebounds, three offensive. In the two games he also combined for 8.5 rebounds per game, five assists and two steals. Overall Meier shot .875 (14-16) from the line and .517 from the field.
