SCIAC Honors Athletes of Week: Caltech's Haussler, CMS' Woolsey

The SCIAC Athletes of the Week have been named and the honorees are: Caltech's Travis Haussler (men's basketball) and CMS' Jocelyn Woolsey (women's basketball).

CIT: Travis Haussler, Men's Basketball
Caltech defeated Bard College (NY) on January 6th by a score of 81-52. Sophomore forward Travis Haussler scored 29 points on 12-for-17 shooting to lead Caltech to its first Division III victory since it defeated Principia College in the 1995-96 season, a span of 207 consecutive losses.

CMS: Jocelyn Woolsey, Women's Basketball
The sophomore from Piedmont led the team to the La Sierra Tournament Championship. She was named MVP of the tournament. In wins over Hiram College and La Sierra University, along with a road loss to Chapman University, she led the team with 34 points and four steals. She was second on the team in rebounding (21) and assists (4). In the three games she shot 50% from the field (11-22) and from three-point range (3-6) and 75% from the line (9-12). On the season she leads the team in scoring, field goal percentage, assists and steals. CMS is 5-6 overall.
