Senior Brian Stuart tied a school record and became only the fourth
player in CLU history to rush for four touchdowns in a single game.
His scoring runs from one, two, four, and seven yards out all came
in the second half of a 49-13 road win over Chapman. With a slim
14-10 halftime lead Stuart carried the Kingsmen to victory scoring
three third quarter TDs and one to start the fourth. In total
Stuart carried the ball 20 times for 165 yards, an average of 8.2
yards per tote while finding the endzone on four separate
occasions. Saturday's game marked the third time this year Stuart
has rushed for three or more touchdowns in a game. He has managed
to score at least one TD in five straight contests. Stuart
currently leads the SCIAC in total rushing yardage (690), rushing
touchdowns (12), scoring (72) and is second in all-purpose yardage
(811).
