SCIAC Honors Male Athlete of the Week: Occidental's Matt Anderson

Matt Andersen opened his senior campaign where he finished off his junior season. In just over a half of football the running back accumulated 129 all-purpose yards as the Tigers defeated Lewis & Clark 52-0 on opening day. Andersen tallied 96 yards on the ground, good for a pair of 14-yard touchdown runs and a 1-yard leap into the end zone, accounting for 18 points. His longest run of the day was a 21-yard pick-up in the second quarter that led to an Oxy field goal. Additionally he caught three passes for 33-yards in the win.
