Reserves Make Quick Work of Sagehens
Team Earns Third Straight SCIAC Shut Out
THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – The California Lutheran University men’s soccer team defeated Pomona-Pitzer Colleges, 2-0 at home on Saturday afternoon. CLU’s Jorge Martinez scored the game-winner late in the first half from a Nick Martinez cross to give the Kingsmen its 10th win of the season.

The Kingsmen held Pomona-Pitzer scoreless in large part to individual defensive plays from Alex Tragos and Mike Hanks in the second half.
CLU substitutes produced all the offensive highlights, capped of by Brady Wright’s run down the right side, putting away his own rebound in the 80th minute of play to seal the game.
Kingsmen goalkeeper Chris Thompson needed to make just two stops to earn the team’s third consecutive SCIAC shutout victory.
