Repeat Performance Against Eagles Earns Win

CLU concludes season in tomorrow's home tilt

LA MIRADA, Calif. – The California Lutheran University men’s tennis team earned its second 9-0 sweep of Biola University on Friday morning. The Kingsmen dropped just five games total in doubles play to earn its 11th win of the season.

CLU’s Ryan Lassila earned the nod in the No. 1 singles match and outlasted Colin Snow in a third set super tiebreak to secure the shutout victory.

No. 4 and 5 Kingsmen players Joe Lonergan and Jordan Culpepper dropped just one game each in their respective matches.

CLU surpassed its win total from its 2007 campaign in which it finished 10-10 and took fourth place in the conference standings.

Cal Lutheran (11-9, 4-2 SCIAC) will finish off the regular season against conference foe Whittier College (8-8, 1-5 SCIAC) tomorrow morning at 9:30 a.m.
