Regals Soccer Blows Out Whittier
CLU Picks up First Win in Rout

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – The California Lutheran University women’s soccer team scored at will against Whittier College at home on Saturday afternoon, defeating the Poets 8-0. Brittany Clark, Aubrie Smith and Marisa Zambetti each scored a pair of goals in the win.
The Regals team offense worked efficiently as seven of the eight scores were assisted, including a pair apiece by co-captain Mackenzie Porter and sophomore Ashlei James.
The CLU goalkeeper trio of Kristin Borzi, Brittany Tippet and Kelly Balch combined for the shut out. Whittier goalkeeper Lowhren Aceves made a match-high two saves for the Poets.
Cal Lutheran (1-3-1, 1-0-1 SCIAC) will face Chapman University at home on Sunday, September 16 at 11 am.
