THE UNIVERSITY OF LA VERNE
BECOMES SIXTH SCIAC
MEMBER TO LAUNCH SITE WITH PRESTOSPORTS
LA VERNE, Calif. - The University of
La Verne Athletics Department in conjunction with PrestoSports, is
pleased to officially unveil its new Web site today at www.leopardathletics.com.
La Verne joins Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges, Whittier College,
Caltech, Occidental College and the University of Redlands as
members of the Southern California
Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) who have
previously launched sites with PrestoSports.
The University of La Verne site features complete integration into
the SCIAC site, d3hoops, d3football, d3soccer and institutions that
are part of the PrestoSports Network. Once scores and schedules are
entered into the La Verne site they will be available across the
network.
The new home of the Leopards will take advantage of a content
management system designed specifically for college athletics. The
new site features video, a header which rotates with Leopard
athletes in action, dynamic scoreboard and schedule areas, a fan
zone and more.
"We are very excited about launching our new Web site and our
partnership with PrestoSports," said Interim Director of Athletics
Julie Kline. "Our staff has worked very hard to
create a new athletics Web site, which offers various ways to
promote the University of La Verne Athletics Department and the
student-athlete experience."
The University of La Verne web site, like all PrestoSports sites,
evolved from a unique, institution-driven design concept. The
University of La Verne design committee was headed by Sports
Information Director Will Darity and included Associate Director of
Web Marketing Leigh Devereaux, Head Volleyball Coach Don Flora,
Softball Coach Julie Smith and Head Strength & Conditioning
Coach Matt Durant. Athletics staff members Christie Joines and Tara
Ervin also assisted throughout the web conversion process.
